PRIESTESS 1:

Procul, O Procul este profani! Bahlasti! Ompehda!

In the name of the mighty and terrible One,
I proclaim that I have banished the shells unto their habitations.

Blessed art thou sister, for thy life is spread out before thee and behind thee;
The serpent is uncoiled within thee, and thou hast achieved thy Power.
Thou art veiled as our Lady and hidden from the profane.
Be thou the Vessel of the Goddess!
Even thou the vessel of the light eternal whom no man has seen at any time!

(anoint with oil, salt, and wine)

Behold is the vessel purified for this sacred working.

ALL (begin to chant in whispers)

Maia, Maia, Hecate, Omphale!

PRIESTESS 1:

Hecate! Queen of Wisdom and Death
Lady of Silence who abides in the dark sea of Night, The Goddess shrouded by the veil
Oh Thou Hidden One, Goddess of Power
who commands the Gates of the Underworld to open and to close by Her will.

Thee, Thee I Invoke.

I invoke the Priestess of the Silver Star!
Asi the Curved One!

By the Ritual of Silence! I make open the gates of bliss!
Thou descendest from the Palace of Twilight!
Thou who stirs the cauldron of Rebirth.
Thou who bearest the scepter of adamant!

In Thy right hand Thou wieldest the sword pierced by the rose!
And the Serpent Staff is Thine to Command!
Thee, Thee I invoke!

PRIESTESS 1:

Behold! Thou art yesterday, today, and the sister of tomorrow!

Thou art the deathless One,Mother of the Gods!
Thine is the unseen form whereof the Gods themselves are made!
Thine is the life imparted to the dwellers of the watchtowers of the Universe!

I, I beseech Thee!

Thy Witches are gathered at the Crossroads! Maia, Maia, Hecate!

PRIESTESS 1:

Thy light is eaten up in blindness for thou hast devoured it!

Lady of rebirth who sent thy children froth from the dusk.
Thy house is the house of death and birth!

Thou dwellest in the deepest caverns of hopelessness and givest hope,
divine Guardian of sky and sea and all Gods and Powers,
who keepest watch over the Universe!

Who leads the coffin to the house of rest,
Who standest behind the throne of Persephone and whispers wisdom into the ears of sorrow,
Lady of the Shrine that standest in the center of the Earth!

Behold! Thou art in Her! She is in Thee!

Thou art the radiance of limitless dark, the firmament on which walk the Gods!

PRIESTESS 3:

Thou travelest in the subterranean sea!

PRIESTESS 4:

Thou treadest on the bodies of the slain and raise them up unconquered!

PRIESTESS 5:

Thou casts the dust of ashes into the eyes of the righteous so that they are granted visions!

PRIESTESS 6:

Thine eyes pierce madness to see truth and shear away ignorance!

PRIESTESS 2:

Ever silent, ever secret, thou art the stillness, and the splendor of the victory of death!

PRIESTESS 1:

Thou sayest "Come unto me in the abode of silence, and I shall give thee rest and wisdom and peace to thy spirit that cryest in the wilderness of loneliness"

For behold, Thou art the companion, the friend of all who have called upon thee in the hour of despair!

Thou are Hecate incarnate in the flesh,
Mother of the Gods, Daughter of Eris

Hecate who commands is in thy mouth

PRIESTESS 2:

Thy tongue is the sanctuary of wisdom

PRIESTESS 3:

Hecate of prophesy is in thy heart

And the Goddess sittest upon thy lips!

PRIESTESS 5:

Thy Word is accomplished every day!

PRIESTESS 6:

And the desire of thy heart is realized in death and birth!

PRIESTESS 1:

Therefore do Thou come forth unto the Priestesses of Night from Thine abode in the Silence!

Unutterable wisdom! All Power! Light that dwells in darkness!

Hecate, Maia, Hera, Cerredwin, by whatever name I call thee,
Thou art still nameless to eternity!

Come thou forth, I say, and abide within the body of thy Priestess!

Thou, secret of secrets that did restore the life of Ra.
Thou art the Same, all present in the Stars and in the sable velvet of the grave!
Thou that binds together the light and the darkness!

Ever unchanging from uttermost east to uttermost west!
The sea of energy is thy mother and thou art fatherless forever and ever!

The wind is thy messenger that thou sendest forth from Tartarus from the Elesian fields thou nourish the Gods and man with the coming of spring and harvest is thy blessing of bounty upon thy children!

Come Thou Forth! I say, Come Thou Forth! and all spirits shall be subject unto Thee so that Every spirit of the firmament and of the aether upon the Earth and under the Earth on dry land and in the Waters of whirling air and of rush Fire and every spell and scourge of every God may be obedient unto Thee!

IO HECATE EVOE!

(silence - all kneel)

PRIESTESS 1:

We greet Thee! We give reverence unto Thee!
Thou hast gathered together the children of the earth in the Hall of Darkness!

PRIESTESS 2:

A speech in the Silence!

PRIESTESS 3:

The Words against the Sons of Night!

PRIESTESS 4:

The voice of Hecate in the Universe in the presence of the Eternal!

PRIESTESS 5:

The formulas of Knowledge!

PRIESTESS 6:

The wisdom of Breath!

PRIESTESS 1:

The root of Form!

PRIESTESS 2:

The shaking of the Invisible!

PRIESTESS 3:

The rolling asunder of the Stygian Night!

PRIESTESS 4:

The becoming visible of Matter!

PRIESTESS 5:

The piercing of the scales of the Crocodile!

PRIESTESS 6:

The breaking forth of the Light!

PRIESTESS 1:

Speak now to we who have called Thee, that Thy wisdom shall live again in the hearts of the children of eternity!

(here follows the imparting of the message of the Goddess to her Priestesses)

PRIESTESS 1:

There is an end of speech:
Let the silence darkness be broken:
Let it return unto the silence of light:
Honor to you and love as you have descended.
Now rise above!

(Five fold kiss performed by Priestess 1)

Thy feet the feet of a mortal Priestess

Blessed art Thou!
Thy knees the knees of a mortal Priestess!

Blessed art Thou!
Thy womb the womb of a mortal Priestess!

Blessed art Thou!
Thy breast the breast of a mortal Priestess!

Blessed Art Thou!
Thy lips the lips of a mortal Priestess!

Blessed Art Thou! Our Mortal Sister,
Vessel of Light, Divine forever!

(Breathe Together)

Breathe the light that shines in darkness! We are one.
So Mote it Be!

Thus spoke the Goddess Hecate to Me when this was written.

I am the beginning in the darkness and that which is achieved at the end of all be thou ready for my advent my daughters who honor me, for then shall I come among thee and bring to thee thy heart's desire and all sorrow shall I remit for I am peace and wisdom.

Do you follow out the love of me and of the gods and of the path which is revealed to thee then shall earth be as thou wills it and the future thou mayest amend to thy liking and power shall be in thy right hand and joy shalt thou dispense from thy left hand to do this aright I say that thou shalt call me at midnight and omit not the form of the crossroads and I shall come and point to the way thou shalt go .

Burn to me the incense of yew and of the ash and if these be not to thy hand then the leaves of the willow shalt thou find for an offering and the blood that no longer flows shall be my payment, that this priestess shall serve me even all the years of her life.

So shall I come when I am called, for thou hast not yet the power to contain all of me for thy years have reached not yet their fullness, but thee too shall I call to my service in the time of summoning.

I bless thee and guide thy hand in the amendment of thine invocation.
