Charge of Achievements

For the Sibylline initiation ritual we require that each initiate bring a small pouch filled with items that represent their life achievements. This may be a small scrap of paper with words written on it, it may be a baby tooth of their son or daughter, a scrap of paper from their diploma or published book, what have you. This ritual was written by one of our initiates before her initiation.

Purpose of Ritual: To charge an item that will be used in Initiation to represent my life achievements.

Facing altar and say:

Before the daughter
There was the mother
Before the mother
There was the grandmother
And in the beginning
There was the mother of us all

Pause to visualize female figures important to you. Visualize what makes them unique and how they are the same. Think about what makes them strong and nurturing. Think how they overcame obstacles. Think about what they have achieved and how. Think of what you have achieved.

And before the beginning
There was the water from the heavens
Through which all life is born…

Pour consecrated water from altar chalice into empty chalice. Do not pour all of it, just enough to fill the small bottle later.

And the dust from the stars
From which all life is formed…

Pour silt from small bowl into the same chalice.

And these joined with the fire and the air
And awoke the essence of life

Prick finger with needle and put one drop of blood into the chalice.

The great mother opened her eyes!

Visualize the first woman awakening then pour water, silt, and blood mixture into the small bottle and seal tightly.

And with life, comes consciousness,
And with consciousness, comes will

Place the red felt heart against the glass and wrap once with the ribbon to secure it.

With will the heart is opened!
Through my will I have…

Say aloud what you have achieved through an open heart, such as loved others, loved yourself, raised a child, survived loss of a loved one, cared for an elderly parent, forgiven others, empathized with others, etc.

Place the yellow felt “minds” eye on the layer of ribbon covering the heart, and wrap once with the ribbon to secure it)

With will the mind is opened!
Through my will I have…

Say aloud what you have achieved through an open mind, such as completed college, overcome ignorance, become successful in a career, participated politically, learned how to tap dance etc.

Place the white felt circle on the layer of ribbon covering the eye, and wrap once with the ribbon to secure it.

With will the spirit is opened!
Through my will I have…

Say aloud what you have achieved through an open spirit, such as connected with your higher ego, raised energy in circle, caught glimpses of truth, dowsed for water, etc.

Continue wrapping the ribbon all the way around the bottle and then tie it

By the power of the Goddesses and Gods, and by my will, all these I have achieved.

Raise cone of power over bottle and at the appropriate time release the energy into the bottle.

With the power of the Goddesses and Gods, and with the knowledge that what I will and what I achieve can never be taken from me, I charge this bottle! So Mote it Be!
